What is the primary focus of AeroPilates?

Can a person lose weight by doing AeroPilates?

In conjunction with an appropriate diet, AeroPliates promotes a lean and graceful appearance with managed weightloss. If you use the Cardio Board you will also be incorporating one of the most wonderful cardio workouts you may ever have experienced.


Is AeroPilates a cardiovascular workout?

Once you are skilled in the exercises and move through them fluidly, your heart rate will increase providing you with an aerobic workout. If you have a machine which is suitable for using with the Cardio Rebounder then the most wonderful cardio workout awaits you.


Can a person do AeroPilates in conjunction with other exercises?

Yes, there is no prohibition from working out with other exercise programs, depending upon your goals.


Do I develop large muscles with AeroPilates?

No. Long, lean, defined muscles are developed.


How many hours a week do I need to spend on AeroPilates?

For beginners, the recommendation is three days per week. When the exercises are fully learned, this will occupy less than one hour per day.


I have an ongoing back condition. What should I do?

A large number of people use the Method to improve their back problems with excellent results. When you strengthen the core, change muscle length, re-balance and relax the body, and change body posture these can be beneficial to back problems. However it is important to consult your doctor before beginning any exercise program to correct back problems.


What about pregnancy and AeroPilates?

AeroPilates is the perfect regimen to prepare your body for pregnancy and to remain flexible and strong while you are carrying. If you are not already training prior to conception it is not recommended that you begin after you become pregnant. However, AeroPilates is ideally suited for post-natal recovery regardless of prior experience.


I am a senior citizen, can I do AeroPilates?

Yes, with your doctor’s approval. Joseph H. Pilates used the Method into his 80s, and many elderly people in their 60s and 70s work out several days a week.
